The Wolfe Island Scene of the Crime Festival is committed to:

raising awareness of Wolfe Island's important cultural and historical legacy as the birthplace of Grant Allen, Canada's
first crime writer;

strengthening Wolfe Island's cultural life and encouraging a healthy arts community by embracing and celebrating the
Island's unique literary heritage;

increasing knowledge and fostering public appreciation of Canadian crime writing by providing a public forum for and
interactive access with authors, aspiring writers, readers, and interested parties;

benefiting the community of Wolfe Island by bringing visitors to the Island in a way that honours the Island's heritage,
enhances its cultural, artistic, and economic life, while being sensitive to the environment.
